Do you have a favourite vegetarian buger recipe for the BBQ?

Love the addition of nuts, seeds and mushrooms. Need it to stick well together (lots of recipes fall apart before they are completely seared).Do you have a favourite vegetarian buger recipe for the BBQ?
tablespoons hickory flavored barbecue sauce

1 tablespoon molasses

1 (15 ounce) can black beans, drained

2 cups cooked brown rice

1 tablespoon oat bran

2 tablespoons onions, finely chopped

1 tablespoon canned beets, finely chopped

1 teaspoon beet juice

1 teaspoon chili powder

1/4 teaspoon ground cumin

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon kosher salt

1 tablespoon pickled jalapeno pepper, chopped

1 egg white

2 teaspoons olive oil

4 slices monterey jack cheese (optional)

Directions

1Stir together barbecue sauce and molasses. Set aside. (Some comments out on the 'net suggest perhaps this should actually be Honey, Soy Sauce, Molasses, and Hoisin.).

2In a large bowl, mash beans. Stir in 3 tablespoons of the barbecue mixture, rice, oat bran, onions, beets, juice, spices, jalapenos, and egg white.

3Form into 4 equal patties. Brush with (or dunk into) barbecue mixture. (Some comments on the 'net suggest that Houston's leaves them to sit in this mixture until they are cooked to order.).

4Heat olive oil in a cast iron or non-stick skillet over medium heat. Cook patties for 2 minutes on one side. Turn and brush with remaining barbecue mixture. Top with cheese and cook for another 2 minutes or until cheese is melted.

5Houston's serves with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, onions and mustard on a grilled, buttered bun.Do you have a favourite vegetarian buger recipe for the BBQ?
